The Lakeside Hotel used to be a place for the rough and tumble of East County to get liquored up. Today the hotel is a place of support to those seeking to recover and live their best lives free from active addiction. Jane the Owner is a woman with heart, and Tom her Hotel Manager, who makes the best sandwiches BTW, both work hard to maintain not only a clean and safe place to meet and fellowship but it's very obvious how much they love Lakeside. Both work together well to not only preserve a huge piece of Lakeside History, but also to build a better future for their community and its residents.If you get a minute to stop in, have a sandwich, take a load off, and if you Fellowship in the recovery community, they can provide not only a meeting schedule and support, but a comfortable place to take a load off, relax, have lunch, and a smile.
I've been living there and volunteering there for 2 years. This is my home and I treat it as such. I've found that enriching other people also enrich my own self. Come by and hit a meeting and buy a coffee from the bar. The people there are friendly and are willing to help.
Great place! They offer help to the people who want to help themselves. Awesome group people supporting each in the recovery process. Cant say enough u must see for yourself.

Awesome meetings, always, seemingly all day! But everyone here is always open to lend a hand to help a fellow in recovery,( and even if not!) This place paints a good example of what this program is really about and what it, and it's members have to offer.
What an amazing place of healing and sobriety. The staff is always working to make the hotel welcoming and warm. Even though there are requirements to stay, very little is asked. The mission is to develop independence and freedom. Because of my time here, I have retained everything I thought lost and gained more than I ever knew i could attain. Whether you are looking for a safe place to sleep or meet with remarkable people, this place is for you. There is no other institution I love more than Lakeside Hotel. Thank you all for making the world a better place. You sure made my world one I will cherish and nourish.
Meetings here are real. I spent Thanksgiving evening here going to a meeting with my family. It was a very humbling experience. This is a pretty cool old place to hit up a meeting.
Attended a AA meeting there tonite.. Small crowd but shared testimonies. Different ages and ethnic. Sold snacks an drinks[non alcohol], AA accessories. Small parking lot..
